Social media take-over
Midem is dedicated to bringing together key players in the music industry in the beautiful City of Cannes every summer, to develop business and creativity throughout the global music industry.
We were brought onboard in 2019 to launch Midem’s live Instagram coverage, increasing the event’s online presence and creative output tenfold. We created a small dedicated team to work on-site in Cannes, with one core target – to increase engagement between brand and audience online and live at the event, a target we beat with over 12% live engagement in the five days of the event. We had the amazingly fun job of working live with the Midem team, covering every talk, panel and gig, plus all the electric atmosphere and amazing crowd in between. Interviewing artists and delegates online and on the beach, and capturing the unique Midem By Night back-to-back, double-stage concerts.
In the build-up to Midem we created engaging brand communication assets as part of the build-up campaign across the event’s social-media platforms, using the existing Midem brand with a fresh approach to tease the live coverage. The assets were also used throughout the event, from delegate online accounts to stage screens.
We also had the amazing opportunity to document the Midem Songwriting Camp, following 20 young up-and-coming artists from around the world as they collaborated on new material across the three-day camp.
